Overview of User Management screens

Listing screen

Fields:
First Name - the first name of the customer
Last Name - the last name of the customer
Registered as - indicates the client group type that the customer is currently assigned to; redSHOP features three kinds - private customer, private company and tax exempt
Username - the username of the accounts that the customer created upon registration
Shopper Group Name - indicates the shopper group that the customer is currently assigned to
Customer Total Sales - the total number of orders that the customer has completed


Filters:
by Field title - to help find a specific customer more easily, you can type in all or part of the name of the customer in the filter box and either hit enter or click on the search button next to it
by Shopper Group - updates the listing to only show customers that belong in a specific shopper group; select the name of the group from the drop-down and the listing will automatically update itself
by Tax Exemption request status - updates the listing to show customers that have requested tax exemption (Select: Yes No)


Actions:
New - takes you to the add user screen where you can manually create a new account for customer
Edit - takes you to the edit user screen where you can modify an existing customer's account details. The screen can be reached either by clicking on the account name or clicking on the checkbox next to their name followed by the edit button
Delete - removes the customer account from the database, this is a permanent delete

"General User Information" tab:
Username - the username of the customer's account; when you are creating a new account, a check will be made on the username entered and a notice will appear indicating whether the username is available or if it is already being used another account
New Password - indicates the presence of the account password if it exists; if it doesn't or it needs to be changed, you can manually enter a new password
Confirm New Password - if you are entering a new password, it needs to be entered again here for confirmation
Email - the e-mail address that the customer can be reached on and is assigned to their account; when you are creating a new account, a check will be made on the e-mail address entered and a notice will appear indicating whether the address can be used or if it is already assigned to another account
Shopper Groups - sets the shopper group that this customer belongs to; you can select from the list of all available shopper groups in the drop-down box
Group - indicates the Joomla! access level group that this customer belongs to; the groups assigned to this customer account will determine the access that they have to certain content on the site
Block User - sets whether the account has been disabled, in which case the customer will not be able to use it to login or access any of their account details (No, Yes)
Registered as - indicates the client group that this customer's account belongs to; you can select between "Private Customer" for customers to make domestic purchases, and "Company Customer" for those placing orders on behalf of the company and for whom additional information will need to be collected
Receive System Email - sets whether any e-mails generated from the site will be sent to the customer's e-mail address (No, Yes)


"Billing Information" tab:
First Name - indicates the first name of the customer the bill will be addressed to
Last Name - indicates the last name of the customer the bill will be addressed to
Address - indicates the address the customer uses to receive their bills
City - indicates the city in which the above address is located
Country - indicates the country in which the above address is located; the countries listed in the drop-down box consist of the countries selected in the "Retail countries" setting in the global configuration screen.
State - indicates the state or province within the country selected above if it has them
Phone - the phone number the customer can be reached on
Zipcode - the zip code or area code that applies to the customer's address

For "Company Customers" only
Company name - indicates the name of the company the customer works for (Company Customers only)
EAN Number -
VAT Number - indicates the VAT number that the companies registered under
Tax Exempt - indicates whether the customer is exempt from tax calculations when placing orders
User requested VAT exempt - indicates whether the customer has ever placed a request for tax exemption
Tax Exempt Approved - indicates whether any requests for tax exemption were approved



"Shipping Information" tab:
First Name - the first name of the customer
Last Name - the last name of the customer
Id - the ID of the customer's records in the database
Add link - redirects you to a form where you can enter a new shipping address
Delete link - removes the shipping address


"Shipping Information" add link:
First Name - indicates the first name of the customer the order will be addressed to
Last Name - indicates the last name of the customer the order will be addressed to
Address - indicates the address that orders will be sent to
City - indicates the city in which the above address is located
Country - indicates the country in which the above address is located; the countries listed in the drop-down box consist of the countries selected in the "Retail countries" setting in the global configuration screen.
State - indicates the state or province within the country selected above if it has them
Phone - the phone number the customer can be reached on
Zipcode - the zip code or area code that applies to the customer's address


Actions:
Apply - saves any changes made and refreshes the page
Save - saves any changes made and redirects to the listing screen
Place Order - redirects you to the new order screen where the order form is hand the customers account, billing and shipping details pre-populated
Cancel - returns to the listing screen without saving any changes
