Taxes (VAT/GST/Sales Tax)

Adding and managing Tax Groups

VAT / Tax Groups Listing screen

Fields:
VAT / Tax Group – the name given to the group or set of tax rates
Published – sets whether this group is available for assignment and use within redSHOP


Actions:
New - takes you to the add tax group screen where you can create a new tax group profile
Edit - takes you to the edit product screen where you can modify an existing tax group’s profile details. The screen can be reached either by clicking on the name of the tax group or clicking on the checkbox next to their name followed by the edit button
Delete - removes the tax group and all its profile details from the database, this is a permanent delete
Publish - lets you set whether tax groups are available for assignment and use within redSHOP in batch, with either single or multiple product records selected for publishing
Unpublish - lets you set whether tax groups are disabled in batch and are not considered when assigning tax groups, with either single or multiple group records selected for unpublishing

Fields:
VAT / Tax Group Name - the name given to the group or set of tax rates
Published - sets whether this group is available for assignment and use within redSHOP


Actions:
VAT/Tax Rates – redirects to the “VAT / Tax Rates” screen where you can manage the tax rates set for this group
Save - saves any changes made and redirects to the listing screen
Cancel - returns to the listing screen without saving any changes



Assigning location-based (country/state) taxes

Fields:
VAT Country – the country for which the tax rate applies
VAT State – the state with that country for which the tax rate applies
Tax Rate – the tax rate, displayed as a percentage


Actions:
New - takes you to the add tax rate screen where you can create profile for a new tax rate
Edit - takes you to the edit tax rate screen where you can modify an existing tax rate’s profile details. The screen can be reached either by clicking on the name of the tax rate or clicking on the checkbox next to their name followed by the edit button

Actions:
Save - saves any changes made and redirects to the listing screen
Cancel - returns to the listing screen without saving any changes
