Managing Newsletter Subscriptions

Subscriptions Listing screen

Fields:
No – the unique number generated for each newsletter subscription
Username for subscriber – the username of the account that subscribed to the newsletter
Newsletter Subscriber date – the date on which the newsletter subscription was placed
Newsletter – the name of the newsletter that has been subscribed to
Publish – sets whether this subscription is active and newsletters are being sent; unpublish to disable subscription and stop sending newsletters to this subscriber’s email address


Filters:

Actions:
Import Data – redirects to the “Import Newsletter Subscribers” import screen
Export Data - generates a CSV File with a newsletter subscription list; the types of data export include the subscriber’s full name, the newsletter they have subscribed to, and the email address that newsletters are being sent to
New - takes you to the add newsletter subscription screen where you can create a new newsletter subscription
Edit - takes you to the edit newsletter subscription screen where you can modify an existing subscriptions's details. The screen can be reached either by clicking on the subscriber's name or clicking on the checkbox next to their name followed by the edit button
Delete - removes the newsletter subscription from the database, this is a permanent delete
Publish - lets you set newsletters subscriptions to be active and available for signup and distribution, with either single or multiple subscriptions selected for publishing
Unpublish - lets you disable newsletter subscriptions in batch so they are not being sent to subscribers, with either single or multiple subscriptions selected for unpublishing


Subscription Details screen

Fields:
Select user – sets the name assigned to the account that the newsletter will be subscribed for; type in the first few letters of the name and wait for a dropdown list to appear with the matching results, then click on the name to select it
Select Newsletter – sets the newsletter that will be sent to the subscriber; select from the dropdown list of available newsletters
Newsletter Subscriber date – indicates the date the newsletter subscription began (calendar*replace)
Subscriber Email – the email address of the subscriber; will automatically update when the user has been selected above
Publish - sets whether this subscription is active and newsletters are being sent; unpublish to disable subscription and stop sending newsletters to this subscriber’s email address (Available options: Yes, No)


Actions:
Apply - saves any changes made and refreshes the page
Save - saves any changes made and redirects to the listing screen
Cancel - returns to the listing screen without saving any changes



Newsletter Subscriber Import screen

‘’’Fields:’’’
Select Newsletter – sets the newsletter that the people and their email addresses indicated in the CSV File will be signed up to
Newsletter Subscribers Email Import – sets the CSV file that will be used to batch import and assign newsletters to multiple people each with their own email address; therefore, the CSV file must include “full name” and “email” column titles for the import to succeed


‘’’Actions:’’’
Import – gives the command to import the subscriber list in the CSV file and subscribe them to the selected newsletter in batch
Back – returns to the newsletter subscriber listing screen with no import done
