Creating and managing product samples

Product Samples Listing screen

Fields:
Sample Name – the name of the product sample
Published - sets whether this sample will be available to place a request for, and for those that already have whether samples will be sent to them; unpublish to hide the sample


Actions:
New - takes you to the add sample screen where you can create a new product sample that customers can sign up and request
Edit - takes you to the edit sample screen where you can modify an existing sample's details. The screen can be reached either by clicking on the sample name or clicking on the checkbox next to their name followed by the edit button
Delete - removes the product sample record from the database, this is a permanent delete
Publish - lets you set samples to be displayed on the front-end in batch, with either single or multiple sample records selected for publishing
Unpublish - lets you set samples to be disabled and hidden from the front-end in batch, with either single or multiple sample records selected for unpublishing


Product Sample Details screen

Fields:
Sample Name – the name of the product sample
Published - sets whether this sample will be available to place a request for, and for those that already have whether samples will be sent to them; unpublish to hide the sample
Color Code - (color picker, media bulk button, "Add color" button)

Actions:
Save - saves any changes made and redirects to the listing screen
Cancel - returns to the listing screen without saving any changes


Publishing product samples

Fields:
Name – the name of the customer who placed a request for a product sample
Email – the email address of the customer who placed the request
Registrator Date – the date that the customer placed the request
Sample detail – a “Detail” link which when clicked on will open a lightbox to display the samples the customer requested
Reminder 1 – indicates whether the first email (using the “Catalog sample first reminder” mail center template) has yet been sent to the subscriber
Reminder 2 – indicates whether the second email (using the “Catalog sample second reminder” mail center template) has yet been sent to the subscriber
Reminder 3 – indicates whether the third email (using the “Catalog sample third reminder” mail center template) has yet been sent to the subscriber
Block – (notes soon)


Actions:
Delete - removes the record of the product sample request and all related details from the database, this is a permanent delete
Publish - lets you set sample requests to be active in batch, with either single or multiple request records selected for publishing
Unpublish - lets you disable and disregard sample requests in batch, with either single or multiple request records selected for unpublishing
