Setting up custom shipping rates

(Rules based on dimensions, catalog rules, or shopper group settings)


Shipping Rates Listing screen

Fields:
Shipping Rate Name - the label given to the shipping rate, as it appears on the front-end
Shipping Rate - the price value of the shipping rate


Actions:
New - takes you to the add shipping rate screen where you can add a new rates to be made available
Edit - takes you to the shipping rates details screen where you can modify an existing rate's details. The screen can be reached either by clicking on the name of the shipping rate or clicking on the checkbox next to their name followed by the edit button
Copy - lets you duplicate a shipping rate, simply check the checkboxes next to the names of the rates that should be duplicated and click on copy
Delete - removes the record of the shipping rate, this is a permanent delete
Close - redirects you the details screen of the shipping method that rates were defined for

Fields:
Shipping Rate Name - sets the label given to the shipping rate, as it will appear on the front-end


Weight Start - the minimum total weight that the contents of the order must match in order for this shipping rate to apply
Weight End - the maximum total weight that the contents of the order can reach in order for this shipping rate to apply


Volume Start - the minimum total volume of space that the contents of the order must fit in order for this shipping rate to apply
Volume End - the maximum total volume of space that the contents of the order can fit in order for the shipping rate to apply


Shipping Rate Length Start - the minimum length of the packaging that the contents of the order must fit into in order for this shipping rate to apply
Shipping Rate Length End - the maximum length of the packaging the contents of the order can fit into for this shipping rate to apply
Shipping Rate Width Start - the minimum width of the packaging that the contents of the order must fit into in order for this shipping rate to apply
Shipping Rate Width End - the maximum width of the packaging the contents of the order can fit into for this shipping rate to apply
Shipping Rate Height Start - the minimum height of the packaging that the contents of the order must fit into in order for this shipping rate to apply
Shipping Rate Height End - the maximum height of the packaging the contents of the order can fit into for this shipping rate to apply


Order Total Start - the minimum price value that the order must total in order for this shipping rate to apply
Order Total End - the maximum price value that the order can total number for this shipping rate to apply


Zip code start - the first in the range of zip codes for which this shipping rate can apply
Zip code end - the last in the range of zip codes for which the shipping rate can apply


Country - sets the countries for which this shipping rate is applicable; select a single country or hold down the control key on the keyboard and clicking on multiple names to select multiple countries
State - depending on the country chosen above, you can select individual states for which the shipping rate can apply
'Products - an Ajax-powered input box from where you can look up the products that this shipping rate will apply to; type at least three characters that appear in the name of the product you're looking for and wait a moment for a drop-down panel with related search results to appear, then click on the name of the product to select it.
Shipping Rate Product - a list of all the products currently assigned this shipping rate and two buttons to manage them: the -> button will add a product to the list, and the <- button will remove it.
Category - sets the categories of products that this shipping rate will apply to; click the category name or hold down the control key on the keyboard and click on multiple names to select multiple categories
Shopper Groups - sets the shopper groups that customers must be a part of for this shipping rate to apply to them; click the group name or hold down the control key on the keyboard and click on multiple names to select multiple shopper groups


Shipping Rate - sets the price value of the shipping rate
Priority - sets the priority in which this shipping rate will be considered in the event that there are other rates the order is applicable for
This shipping rate is for - sets the client group that the customer must belong to for this shipping rate to apply to them; the rate can apply for only "Private customers", "Company customers", or both. (Select: Both, Company customers only, Private customers)
VAT group - sets the tax group profile that will be used to calculate taxes on this shipping rate (Select: Default)
Add Vat - sets whether tax will be applied to this shipping rate, based on the profile of the tax group selected above (checkbox)
Consignor Carrier Code -


Actions:
Apply - saves any changes made and refreshes the page
Save - saves any changes made and redirects to the listing screen
Cancel - returns to the listing screen without saving any changes



Shipping Locations Listing screen

Fields:
Shipping Location - the name of the location where the order will be shipped to and the customer must collect from


Actions:
New - takes you to the add shipping location screen where you can add a new rates to be made available
Edit - takes you to the shipping location details screen where you can modify the details of an existing location record. The screen can be reached either by clicking on the name of the shipping locationor clicking on the checkbox next to their name followed by the edit button

Close - redirects you the details screen of the "Shipper" shipping method that locations were defined for

Shipping Location Information - a space to provide more information about this shipping location; you can use text, images, HTML and modules and plug-ins.
