Overview of Questions/Answers screens

Questions Listing screen

Fields:
Product name – the name of the product that the question is being asked about
Question – the starting contents of the message in the question
Answers – the number of answers that have been given so far, indicated in between brackets; clicking on this link will take you to the “previous answers” portion of the question details screen
User Name – the username of the account that was used to send the question
User Email – the email address associated to the account that the reply should be sent back to
Order – the order in which questions and answers will be displayed on the front end
Published – sets whether this question will be displayed on the product page; unpublish to hide it


Filters:
By Product name – updates the listing to display only questions that have been asked for a specific product


Actions:
New - takes you to the add question screen where you can manually add a new product question
Edit - takes you to the edit question screen where you can modify an existing question's details. The screen can be reached either by clicking on the question or clicking on the checkbox next to it followed by the edit button
Delete - removes the question and all related answers from the database, this is a permanent delete
Publish - lets you set questions in batch to be displayed on the product page, with either single or multiple questions selected for publishing
Unpublish - lets you set questions to be hidden in batch from display on the product page, with either single or multiple questions selected for unpublishing



Question Details screen

Fields:
Product Name - the name of the product that the question is being asked about; if a new question is being posed manually, you can select the product referred to from the dropdown list
User Name – the username of the account that was used to send the question; if a new question is being posed manually the username of the account currently logged in on the backend
User Email – the email address associated to the account that the reply should be sent back to; if a new question is being posed manually the email address of the account currently logged in on the backend
Published – sets whether this question and all related answers are to be displayed on the product page; unpublish to hide them (Available options: Yes, No)
Question – a space to type in or modify the content of the question itself, no matter how short or long the question is; this space can accept text, images, HTML and Joomla! modules and plugins

Previous Answers
Checkbox – the answer that was posted in response to the question
Answers – the answer that was posted in response to the question
User Name – the username of the account that was used to post the answer
User Email – the email address of the account that was used to post the answer
Time – the date and time that the answer was posted

”Delete” button – select one or more answers that should be removed and click this button to delete them
”Send” button – select one or more answers that emails should be sent about to… (notes soon)

Actions:
Save - saves any changes made and redirects to the listing screen
Send – saves any changes made and sends an email to the person who posed the question with an update (if there is one), then returns to the Question listing screen
Cancel - returns to the listing screen without saving any changes
